Production Activities are Voluntary and Unpaid
At Storytellers Film Academy, students who participate in production activities do so on a voluntary basis as part of their educational experience. These real-world opportunities are designed to provide meaningful hands-on learning, creative collaboration, and professional growth in a setting where faith and storytelling come together.
We affirm Jesus’ teaching that “the worker deserves his wages” (Luke 10:7), understanding that in an educational setting, fair reward takes the form of mentorship, professional development, connections with industry professionals, and portfolio experience rather than financial pay. Accordingly, students who serve on productions receive meaningful educational value and public recognition in place of monetary compensation.
By choosing to serve, students acknowledge that their participation is voluntary and unpaid, undertaken to gain experience and contribute to the creative process. Volunteer service does not create any expectation of wages, future employment, or other compensation.
3 Days Studios is a separate organization from Storytellers Film Academy, and students who volunteer with the studio are not employees, contractors, or agents of either entity. No wages, stipends, or benefits are promised or implied for volunteer participation.
Both the studio and the school are committed to offering volunteer opportunities ethically and transparently, in keeping with professional standards and the biblical principles of honesty, fairness, and wholehearted service (Colossians 3:23).
This arrangement complies with U.S. labor standards for unpaid, voluntary educational service performed without expectation of compensation.
Storytellers Film Academy and 3 Days Studios are wholly owned subsidiaries of Christ For All Peoples 501(c)3, a Nashville, Tennessee-based Christian nonprofit organization.
